This event is the culmination of a year of celebrations and a great way to commemorate Wilmette’s 150th birthday with family, friends, and neighbors. THE Wilmette Block Party festivities, which are being presented by North Shore Community Bank, a Wintrust Community Bank, will kick off on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 11:00 a.m., and include the following:
- Parade of dignitaries being led by the Loyola Academy Marching Band,
- Welcoming remarks from Village President Plunkett,
- Music from the Wilmette Community Band, and
- Performance from the Jesse White Tumblers.
The day is packed with musical entertainment including the following performances:
Main Stage (sponsored by F.J. Kerrigan Plumbing Co.)
- Hoopla at 1:30 p.m.
- Antler Chandelier at 3:30 p.m.
- One Night Band at 5:30 p.m.
- Local school performances at 11:00 a.m.
- Miss Jamie and the Farmhands at 2:00 p.m.

- Tributosaurus, playing as the Rolling Stones at 8:00 p.m.

This is a FREE event to celebrate the Village of Wilmette Sesquicentennial year. Tickets will be available to purchase for alcoholic beverages. Food trucks may take cash or credit cards.

Hoopla kicks off the event on the main stage at 1:30 pm, followed by Antler Chandelier at 3:30 pm and One Night Band at 5:30 pm. Local school performances will take place on the secondary stage starting at 11 am, with Miss Jamie and the Farmhands playing at 2 pm. The featured performance, Tributosaurus, will be playing as the Rolling Stones, which is set to start at 8 pm.
There will be a variety of foods, soft drinks, water, beer, and wine for sale from some of your Wilmette favorites. Alcoholic drinks require tickets, which can be purchased at the Ticket Booth tent prior to ordering from the beer tent.
Yes, if you are consuming alcohol. Wristbands are given out at the Ticket Booth. Anyone purchasing tickets for alcohol will need to show an ID and wear a wristband.
If you are 21 or older, your driver’s license or proof of age are required to purchase drink tickets.
The event opens to the public at 11 am and ends at 11 pm. The Kids Zone is open from 11 am to 3 pm. Last call will be at 10:30 pm.
Credit cards are preferred, however cash is accepted for beer/wine ticket purchases. Food vendors may be cash only.
Yes, this is a family friendly event! The Kids Zone will be open from 11 am – 3 pm.
Coolers are not permitted. Food and beverages are available for purchase.
The event is rain or shine unless there is dangerous weather.
Please park bikes by the Metra Train Station. Strollers/wagons are welcome in the fest. No bikes, rollerblades, or scooters please.

Yes, feel free to bring a chair and/or blanket to sit on in the Village Green. However, space will be limited.
Glenview Road and Central Avenue will be closed from approximately 6 am – 2 am, however businesses within the event will be open during normal business hours.

At this time there are no restrictions or requirements for masking or proof of vaccination. We are following the recommendations and requirements of the Cook County Department of Health and the CDC and will adjust our procedures based on their safety recommendations.
